Yaroslavl Open Air Center took part in the exhibition-competition “A Week of Russian Art in Beijing” from the 15th of August till 15th of September 2015. The exhibition was organized in two sections: in Confucius’ Temple “Youth of century” and in Russian Cultural Center in Beijing “Existence: modern comprehension”.
Confucius’ Temple was established in 1287 during the Yuan dynasty. For hundreds of years Chinese Emperors graded exams in calligraphy and knowledge of laws of awarding the next rank. Today it is one of the most well-known museum complexes of the Chinese capital. Here 4 works of our masters were displayed: Dmitriy Sysoev “In Nekrasovskoe” and “Krestovozdvozhenskiy Cathedral in Romanovo”, Boris Gogin “Sunset”. Anrey Alekhin “The Wall of Nikolo-Babaevskiy Monastery”.
In Russian Cultural Center , works of the following artists were displayed: Svetlana Arsyuta, Inna Antonova, Anton Barykin, Andrey Alekhin, Yiuriy Kazakov, Nikolay Afon’shin, Vyzcheslav Kolobov, Yuliya Zhukova.
Also our residents Vitaliy Preobrazhenskiy, Ol’ga Kazakova, and Dmitri Sysoev went out to Beijing with their paint boxes! As a result, the trip turned out to be very productive: Dmitriy painted 8 beautiful pictures of the Celestial Empire!
And Maskim Mikhalenya’s and Anrey Alekhin’s pictures are contained in the collection of the Union of Youth of China and Russian Cultural Center in Beijing.
